Brief

Chartham Holistic Kindergarten approached us to create a promotional film that would sit on their website and be used across their social channels.

The film needed to reflect their unique, child-centred approach to learning with a focus on nature, outdoor play, and the use of natural materials.

The goal was to visually capture the nurturing energy of the staff, the calm atmosphere of the space, and their philosophy of holistic care and education.

The Production

To preserve the authenticity of the setting, we filmed during typical daily activities. This allowed the children and staff to remain in their flow, interacting naturally without performing for the camera.

We used long lenses to maintain distance and avoid interrupting the moment, and incorporated slow-motion and gentle gimbal movement to bring a calm, immersive tone to the final edit.

The natural light, earthy textures, and lush outdoor spaces were key visual elements throughout.

This approach meant we could simply respond to the environment - the beauty and intention of the setting was already there. Our job was to quietly observe and frame it in a way that did justice to the experience of walking into Chartham in real life.

Outcome

The final film beautifully captures the peaceful, thoughtful atmosphere of Chartham Holistic Kindergarten. It feels calm, connected, and real — just like the space itself.

We’re especially proud of how the emotion translates on screen - something that can be hard to achieve in such a subtle, observational style.

The clients reaction was extremely positive - so much so, it brought the staff to tears. No changes were requested, which is always the highest compliment.
