The
Brief

The Glencar Foundation supports smaller charities making a meaningful difference within the communities where Glencar operates. Its work benefits organisations including food-banks, special needs schools, mental health services and hospice care.

In 2026, more than 40 riders from Glencar, Gallagher Group and the wider construction and engineering industries took part in the On Yer Bike challenge. The cyclists travelled more than 350 kilometres from Leitrim to Killarney over three demanding days, raising over £150,000 for the Foundation.

We were commissioned to follow their journey, capture the scale and challenge of the ride and celebrate the extraordinary commitment of everyone taking part.

The Production

Two of our filmmakers travelled to Ireland and followed the riders throughout the three-day challenge. We continually moved along the route, filming from support vehicles, riding alongside the cyclists and travelling ahead to capture them passing through some of Ireland’s most striking landscapes.

Drone filming allowed us to show the scale of the challenge and the riders travelling together, while ground-level and moving vehicle footage brought audiences closer to the speed, physical effort and changing conditions they experienced.

We made sure the films represented the entire group rather than concentrating solely on those at the front. Interviews with riders also explored their personal motivations, the importance of supporting charitable causes and the camaraderie that kept them moving through the most difficult moments.

The
Outcome

At the end of each day, we immediately edited and delivered a short highlights film for social media. This allowed supporters to follow the journey as it happened and helped maintain excitement and awareness throughout the challenge.

For the final celebration, we combined the three daily films into a longer piece that took the riders through their complete journey from Leitrim to Killarney.

After returning from Ireland, we produced a polished promotional film combining the strongest footage with interviews, graphics and key messages. It communicated the distance covered, the number of riders involved, the money raised and the charities and communities that would benefit.

The films demonstrated the determination, generosity and team spirit of the riders while showing the significant impact their fundraising would have on smaller charities across the UK and Ireland.

For the riders, the films provided a lasting record of an unforgettable achievement. For the Foundation, they captured the construction industry coming together to support communities and causes that might otherwise struggle to secure attention and funding.
