Brief

Gallagher’s commitment to the communities surrounding its quarrying operations is simple: to return the land in a better condition than it was found.

The company carries out extensive environmental restoration and biodiversity work, including tree planting, habitat creation, animal care and the long-term management of restored land. Gallagher wanted a film that would make this commitment visible, showcasing the scale of its work and the lasting benefits it creates for nature and local communities.

The Production

Having filmed extensively with Gallagher over several years, we were able to draw on a wide range of footage alongside material captured specifically for this film.

We filmed the quarry and surrounding farmland, the restoration of previously worked areas and the people responsible for managing the landscape and its ecology. We also captured the animals, trees, habitats and public spaces created through this work.

To demonstrate how the restored land benefits the wider community, we filmed people exploring and enjoying it—walking, running and cycling through landscapes that have been carefully returned to nature.

We produced an emotive promotional film offering a high-level view of Gallagher’s environmental work, its impact on the landscape and the benefits it provides for local communities.

The film was created for Gallagher’s website and social media channels, providing the company with a powerful way to communicate its environmental commitments and encourage more people to discover and enjoy the restored public spaces.

The film demonstrated that Gallagher’s environmental commitments extend far beyond surface-level promises. By showing the expertise, care and long-term planning behind the work—including its dedicated environmental team and 20-year restoration plan—it gave audiences clear evidence of the company’s intentions and achievements.

It presented Gallagher as a business that takes its responsibilities seriously and genuinely cares about the land, wildlife and communities surrounding its operations. The film strengthened this message with honesty and emotion, showing that giving back is deeply embedded within the company’s values.
